Accepted!! Welcome to The Sacred Grove...
Name: Pallas Athena
Age: Appears to be 21
Gender: Female
Home: Mount Olympus
Power: Goddess of the wisdom and war
Alignment: Neutral- can be good or evil depending on her mood
Appearance: Athena is considered to be beautiful, although it seems she can’t be compared with Aphrodite who’s the most beautiful. Athena has a slim, muscular, and athletic body with pale skinned. Among the other goddesses, she’s considered to be one of the tallest. Athena has wavy, golden hair which falls just right at her back. Sometimes she just ties it up in a bun and covers it with her helmet. Her stunning sea blue eyes with medium lashes and pointy brows add more beauty in her. Her face is shaped in square with a strong chin with high, prominent cheekbones blushed in light pink. Her face is also lit up with eyes shining brightly everytime she smiles.
Attire: Normally, Athena dresses in dark green long dress that falls to the ground. As shoes, she was wearing a pair of Greek traditional sandals. She’s also often to be seen wearing a stunning helmet that shines in the sunlight. It’s actually what symbolizes her. She also has a long spear and a shiny shield as her weapons.
Personality: Athena is a wise goddess. She always gives guidance to lost people. Athena doesn’t like to be paid for her good work in helping people because she does it sincerely. Just like Artemis, Athena was also granted eternal virginity by her father. Besides, Athena also has no interest in men. She just wants to focus on what she’s doing. As the goddess of war, Athena likes to give guidance in war. She likes to give strategies for the side she supports to win the war. But sometimes, there are always problems on her way. Ares, the god of war, is Athena’s biggest rival. He supports the other side by giving strategies just to beat Athena.
Fears: She fears that her strategies wouldn’t work and her side will lose in the war. Athena also fears of being beaten by Ares someday and the worst, losing her wisdom.
Likes: Athena likes wise people. She likes to go to the earth and gives suggestion for people to be wise. Just like it’s said, Athena likes helping lost people and gives them guidance.
Dislikes: She dislikes unwise people and those who are dishonorable to her. Somehow she’s also a rival of two gods. She hates Ares for beating her in war and Aphrodite for winning the judgment of Paris.
Strengths: Athena is good in giving suggestion and managing strategies in war. She’s also known as a powerful goddess and likes to give instructions for people to go in the good way.
Weaknesses: Just like fears, she’s weak when Ares makes his way beating her.
Lover: None, ever since she’s also given virginity and has no interests in men.
History: Athena was firstly born for appearing through her father’s head in form of a young woman holding a spear with helmet on her head. She’s the daughter of goddess Metis and the great god Zeus. Athena had shown wisdom from that moment. She later changed her name to “Pallas Athena” – Pallas is the name of a city at that time. Ever since, Athena became a goddess. She likes to wander in the earth and often involves in war as her skill was managing strategies. People begin to worship her as the goddess of the war. From that moment too, Zeus gave her two symbols – a helmet and a spear. As a goddess of wisdom, Athena also involves in many evidences that happened at that time. She was once purposed by Hephaestus to marry him but somehow she disappeared. She also had competed with Poseidon to be the patron deity of Athens, which was yet unnamed in this telling. She also helped Cadmus, a young prince, on his mission finding Europa who was his sister. Athena told him that he would never find her but in fact, Cadmus was destined to have another life as a king. Some say that the famous Trojan War was once created by Hera and Athena for beating Aphrodite. Sometimes, Athena has her own way in punishing people. She had punished a young woman who was the goddess of weaving – Arachne – for being dishonorable to her.
Sample RP: Athena went to the earth and disguised as an old woman. She knew what she was about to do. She was going to meet Arachne, ever since she was the goddess’ superior weaver. But why? Arachne was loyal to Athena. Lately, Athena heard that Arachne began to betray her by not repenting her hubris as the goddess of wisdom. Athena realized that she had to face her herself. “Repent your hubris, Arachne, because that goddess will hear you. She will punish you!” the old woman said to Arachne. Arachne, unfortunately, didn’t listen. So, that Athena had no choice except revealing her disguise and Arachne was spontantly shocked. “I challenge you for a contest, great goddess.” Arachne arrogantly said, “but keep my word, that you will never beat me.” The contest began. Athena wove a depiction of the conflict with Poseidon over Athens, while Arachne wove a depiction making fun of Zeus and his many wives. Seeing what Arachne had done to her father, Athena was furious at her skill (the contest was never decided) and her choice of subject (after all, she is Zeus's favorite daughter). Enraged, she destroyed Arachne's work. She would never let anyone beat her, even a woman like Arachne. The goddess had no choice except transforming the weaver into the first spider, which forever weaves a silk web to catch its food. “Go and never come back.” Athena told her as the spider began to move away. The goddess didn’t feel guilty to what she had done to the poor woman – a woman who was once loyal to her. She was – in fact – satisfied.
